When summer rolls around, it’s time to elevate your drink game. We caught up with local Mykonos bartender Nikos Stavros to create the ultimate LowLow-based summer cocktail. Nikos is known for his inventive takes on classic drinks, and this one’s no exception.


Question: Nikos, what inspired you to create this cocktail?

"Mykonos summers are all about vibrant flavors and easygoing vibes. When I tasted LowLow’s Pineapple Yuzu this summer, I knew it would be the perfect base for a tropical, refreshing cocktail."

Q: What’s the name of your creation?

"I call it the Mykonos Breeze. It’s light, zesty, and full of character—just like the island."


Recipe: The Mykonos Breeze

  • 1 can of LowLow Pineapple Yuzu

  • 50ml fresh-squeezed lime juice

  • 30ml coconut water

  • A splash of orange liqueur

  • Crushed ice

  • Garnish: A sprig of fresh mint and a slice of lime

Directions:

  1. Fill a tall glass with crushed ice.

  2. Add the lime juice, coconut water, and orange liqueur.

  3. Top it off with LowLow Pineapple Yuzu.

  4. Stir gently and garnish with mint and lime.


Q: Any tips for serving this cocktail?

"Presentation is key! Use a chilled, perhaps an iced glass and don’t skimp on the garnish. The mint and lime really bring the drink to life so don't hold back."
